Sunshine of Your Love

Two items: First, Erin and I are coming up on our fifth wedding anniversary this week. I'd like to publicly thank her for sticking with me this long, and hope that we can celebrate many more anniversaries in the decades to come.

Second, unrelated (except it ties into the post title): I'm now using the Cream remix of the Vim text editor. It's portable and fast like Vim, but with a sane user interface that acknowledges that there are now these spiffy things called windows and menus that weren't around in 1976 for the original vi editor. Check it out if you want the same editor on Windows, Unix etc. without sacrificing the native GUI. (Mac Vim will give you an Aqua interface on OS X with more-or-less native menus and keyboard shortcuts, but doesn't have Cream's modelessness and other add-ons. Maybe I'll try integrating the two.)
